After buying a $25.9 million dollar waterfront beach house in Miami, DJ Khaled decided to keep his fingers in the Florida real estate game a little longer by lending his name to a luxury listing in Hibiscus Island, Miami. He, not being a shy promotor in any way at all, used his social media influence to let his more than 12 million followers know he was spending the day at a $34.5 million mega-mansion and gave them a sneak peek at what it looked like inside. Except the mansion has the retractable walls so inside is also outside in some of the cases.
His “daycation” was all part of a marketing campaign with luxury brokerage ONE Sotheby’s that is going to continue to have high-profile celebrities spend a day, or perhaps enjoy an evening soiree, at listings at the top end of the market with the goal of using their influence to promote the home. Since DJ Khaled focuses on luxury in much of what he does put his name behind, it does seem like a good fit for the two brands. Also this house is so uber-modern it just seems like Khaled could live here if hadn’t just put down roots elsewhere in the city.
The 10,000-square-foot house has this open portion of the lower level that is similar to a massive covered porch.
And push aside a few doors and the entire rest of the lower level can become open to the outdoors.
But the kitchen almost looks like the exterior of a fighter jet with its cabinetry polished to such a high sheen.
Then there are features that almost feel like a piece of modern art. For example, look closely at the right hand side of this picture—that white cylinder is a circular staircase that provides both form and function.
The back of the house looks out over an infinity pool and the mainland of Miami off in the distance.
